Cost of the new City Hall

There seems to be some uncertainty among the citizens of Woodway what the cost of the new City Hall building was. So at one of the recent Council meetings I asked Yost Zakhary what the cost was, and as I recall he said it came to $2.3 to $2.4 million.

Note added 7/12: Mr. Zakhary elaborated after the Council meeting tonight that the figure given above was for the entire project including site preparation, landscaping and the adjacent parking lot. The building itself is insured for $1.5 million.

Note added 7/13: Woodway Finance Director William Klump today looked up the figure for which the new City Hall is insured, which is $1.22 million. The figure above was from memory.
